Opening Starwood Business Card
« on: June 01, 2010, 01:11:17 AM »
I already have a personal card, but I would like to apply for the business one too to get the sign on bonuses. When I'm applying for the biz card, do I put my current starwood account or do I need to let them create a new SPG account for me?

If its your first time opening a businesses starwood you shouldn't have a problem using your current Spg account number and getting the points.
Here is the link for the business card-first year free, 10k points after first purchase and 15k points with $15k spend in 6 months.

I'm not sure. It was posted on a different thread.
The business starwood is not listed in the credit card section of the main DD site.

Wait, are you trying to say that if I already applied (and gave them my SPG number), that I can apply AGAIN (withOUT giving them my existing number), thus creating a new SPG account, and then get the 15k signup bonus AGAIN! Then, I could just call spg and merge the two accounts?

That sounds too good to be true.

Beware on opening a Starwood business card, its much easier to get FR'd, so make sure you don't lie on your application...

Hey all,

I opened the starwood business card under my wife's name because i was FR'd by Amex 3 years ago, and they still don't like me.

When i received the card and activated it, i tried to add myself as an additional cardholder, but it said they wanted to talk to me (my wife) about it.

do you think this could be a problem? what should she say when they call her?

by the way we do not have the same last name.

thanks.

Is this still true?
Can I open a business card if I am using it to keep track of secondary expenses even though it is not really a business aka, I am not selling anything or I sell a few things ( less then 30 things) on ebay during the year?
