Transferring Qantas miles
« on: December 25, 2012, 11:10:04 PM »
Does anyone know of a way to transfer Qantas miles? Can be to an alliance member (AA, BA) or even Hotel points. I have miles stuck there that are about to expire. (Not really looking to sell).

Thanks

Qantas mileage from what I understand is certainly non transferable to another program in one world. The only thing I could think of its try redeem it for something small like 500 miles. Or if you have a contact in Australia who can schlep for you. Tell them to get a Woolworths everyday rewards card in store, link it to your Qantas account, and next time they make a purchase u get 1 mile per dollar in yr account and that should reset the expiry date

you should definitely do like @hershelgross said, but you should just bare in mind that qantas miles have very little value, and are nearly useless for redeeming awards, except in some rare cases. it's discussed a lil here, http://goo.gl/8W6Mf. don't know if i'm allowed to post links to there...

i suggest if you are offered money for your miles get rid of them.

Qantas has quite a few good perks which are not discussed there at all.
Although on the mileage requirement they suck...
