Well, then I'd pay no additional fee. But that prompts another question:

Do banks normally charge a fair rate in converting, or are they like merchants and gouge?
The latter

IIRC Fidelity charges 1/2 to 1 percent depending on how much transferring. Was the best I found.
What country?

If it's a significant amount there are companies which specialize in this stuff and can probably do it cheaper

Somewhat related:

I want to transfer $$$ from Canada to USA. TD bank and USforex & others are about the best I've found and all seem to be about .93-.94. It seems like paypal is closer to .96 with no fees, has anyone ever tried paypal? Are there hidden fees that I'm missing? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Someone in Canada sent me a wire of $2100 from his RBC Bank account to my TD Bank, however I only received $2080, what can be the issue? Both Banks claim that they did not charge a fee.

Update: The Bank claims that RBC used a intermediary bank and they took the $20, now RBC claims that my Bank used the  intermediary bank,  :o where can I know who is correct? Anyone?

Here is the letter I got, if it helps. You can see that someone used Chase as a intermediary bank.

If you're not doing currency conversion, and are sending wires to same recipients, Fidelity does it for free (on a personal account don't know about business). International wires require a form to be sent in, while domestic can be set up online. Once you have a recipient set up, domestic wires are done online, international require call in.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I've used them once between Australia and US. More like ACH than wire. Pricing was best I could find. (I think they recently increased their pricing).
