Ive had this card for years too! Bank of America Worldpoint Mastercard, fee free. The worldpoints earned can be moved to Aeroplan. I recently used it in Israel,someone smashed up my car. I had to shell out $750 and im still waiting for Avis to send me the paperwork...............They are impossible to deal with

Avis TLV are animals. They'll never send in the paperwork.
Just dispute it before it's too late.

i broke a light and they had me fill out a form on the spot, no charge for me!!

I think Citi came out with a new card that has Worldwide coverage. It is called the Citi ThankYou card there are 3 types of cards Premier and I forgot the others but I think the Premier is no annual fee.

that would be good - we would have to convince the cer agency's to honor it i they never heard of it

I emailed Penfed Amex and they said the rental coverage is worldwide, does not exclude israel, this could be a good choice since there is no forex fee.

i have the sovereign bank world mastercard it covers cdw in Israel. All Avis has to see is that it says world (usually) under the mastercard symbol, and theyll accept it.

Not these days.

Not all world cards cover Israel anymore so they will only take what they recognize. you can convince them if u want

i dont know if anybody posted this yet but when i went to israel this past sukkos (with a black mc world card) both times i rented the lady said i should double check the insurance coverage because alot of the cards were taking off there coverage

With my Citi Advantage WC I called up a few weeks ago and they sent me a letter that I am covered etc. And They told me that Israel IS included, I doubt anyone was told otherwise.
My question is just what happens when I want to add an additional driver to my rental, MC told me that only the cardholder is insured.
