Nicer island than Aruba?
Worth going to because there is a Fairmont there where I can stay free or should I look for something in the Caribbean?
Anyone have a TR for Bermuda?
I have been to Bermuda on a cruise as well. IMO, you don't need more than 2 or 3 days to experience/get a feel of the island. Like BrooklynCPA said, it is mainly beaches and water sports. They do have a fort/museum you can visit which was nice to see and burn a few hours. They have a glass blowing shop which has demonstrations throughout the day, though they don't last that long. When i was there, they had some kind of festival with some of the locals dressed up and performing, not sure if this is a regular thing or not. They offer some kind of dolphin interaction experience which was overpriced and did not appeal to us. Since we were docked for 3 days, we had bought a 3 day ferry/bus pass which was great. You can take the ferry from the Royal Navy Yard to Hamilton which was about a 20/30 minute trip, or you can take a bus which goes along the whole island (not that big). One thing we did which was really fun was a night "voyage" on a glass bottom boat into the Bermuda Triangle. The boat takes you out into the triangle and you walk downstairs where they open the floor and turn on underwater lights. You get to see some shipwrecks and lots of marine life. It was fun as well as a bit nerve wracking. The captain/tour guide on the boat must have mentioned we were on a glass bottom boat in the Bermuda triangle in the middle of the night every other sentence. Overall, the beaches are really nice and that glass bottom boat tour was fun, otherwise Bermuda did not have much to offer.
Additional note, the prices there are regular, if not more than in the states.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
