He's already said he wants to retire here.  Another move would be terrible for his legacy.
the problem is he says a lot of things.

Actually it's a one year contract considering the opt out after 1 year.
The max contract goes up every year (and will skyrocket in 2016), no reason for him to sign more than 1 year deals this year and next as long as he thinks he can stay healthy.

He's already said he wants to retire here.  Another move would be terrible for his legacy.
Back to Miami ? :)

don't get your hopes up. MJ could not bring a title to Chicago without a major supporting cast.
1 - CLE does not have the supporting cast.
2 - and the most important thing. this cry baby is no MJ and never will be anything close.

bad comparison bec lbj is better than mj so he doesnt need as strong a supporting cast as mj did in chicago. He can win with a less supporting cast. Take cleveland for example, you think mj could have taken that team to the finals? or to the playoffs year in and year out? Your out of your mind if you think that.

Not saying who's better, it's a futile argument, but you can't deny that MJ had a far better supporting cast than LeBron did in Cleveland.

MJ made the players around him better. when did the Bulls finally put Detroit in their rear view mirror? when the players around MJ got better. MJ could score 50 every game against Detroit but when the rest of team combines for another 35-40 you don't win many games.

Lebron has a lot left to go in his career. let it play out and maybe then he will earn the right to be talked about in the same sentence as MJ.

as far as who is better that is a joke question at this point. is there anyone in their right mind that would say Lebron is the greatest basketball player of all time?

MJ made Rodman a one of the best rebounders and a better defender?? Come on, you can't deny that MJ had a better supporting cast, yes, he may have made them better but they were better to begin with than anything Lebron had in Cleveland

Anyways, this is why arguing who is better is futile, any argument someone tries to bring can always be refuted with an unsubstantiated argument. Iow, people believe what they want to believe and then build the argument to support their belief.  FTR I happen to believe that MJ is better than Lebreon, but I realize that it may have more to do with the nostalgia of growing up with him being the best ever than him actually being better.

you seem to know more about past history than me but iirc Rodman was not there for the first three. if you want to talk about supporting cast then lets talk about Miami. if MJ had was there they would probably be 4 for 4 and counting.

anyone can argue about anything. do I think MJ was the greatest. i would say him or Russell. do you really believe at this point in his career Lebron belongs in the same category as those two? does anyone who knows anything about basketball believe that?

he walked away from CLE because he could not win a title. he walked away from Miami because he seen the writing on the wall. will he walk away from CLE again if he does not win a title? this is the guy some want to argue is better than MJ?

MJ had a better supporting cast. But more importantly, his supporting cast's talents complimented his game perfectly.

Pippen was one of the greatest defenders of all time.

And Rodman was no slacker

i look at it the other way. Paxson and Kerr had wide open shots because MJ was double and tripled teamed.

Rodman was not there for the first three. what changed/improved to MJ's game once Rodman arrived?

They couldn't have that bad of a team without Jordan before Rodman arrived. They did win 55 games in 1993-1994...

Jordan obviously was their star. But they had an OK team without him.

According to Pippin any GM starting a team would take him (pippin) over MJ  to build a team.

never said they had a bad team. in 95-96 they won 72 games. was that because of Rodman who did not play in all the games? maybe it had something to do with MJ, league and playoffs MVP?

enough about the greatest player. lets get back to Lebron. who thinks CLE wins it all this year?
