Is it ever legal to double park if there are no parking spaces?
When alternate side parking is in effect. Don't know if that's the law, or they just officially don't enforce it because it's not possible otherwise.

I'm wondering legally because I received a double parking ticket and I read somewhere that if either there is no loading or unloading zone within 100ft on either side or no spaces its legal
So I'm wondering if this is true

Could be no parking. Could be parking in front of a driveway. The reason I asked is so that whomever has answers for Palm Tights, might not have them without sufficient information.

During alternate side it's not officially legal. Though many places they won't give tickets as a courtesy.

Correct. Vast majority of officers won't (unless it's a school block).  That's why it is the prevalent minhag in the city, but if you happen to get a ticket, don't count on getting away with it.

Anyone have a place that fights NYC parking tickets that they are satisfied with?

Any satisfaction with these (http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/70359) guys who refer out parking tickets to S&R Consultants?
If you are trying to get my attention/assistance and I'm not responding, please feel free to PM me. :)

Does it make sense to pay NYC parking tickets with CC? They charge 2.49% of ticket for paying by CC. Better to pay using bank account where theres no fee? Any good CC to use for this? TIA!

Correct, except if you need to finish some threshold spending.
