Youre allowed to load or unload passengers in a bus stop.
How does the "judge" decide whether or not you were? The cop wrote "no activity" in the comments. Do they have any sort of records or is it a coin toss?

Coin toss. It all comes down to whether they believe you or the ticket. The "no activity" will hurt your case as it smacks directly into your defense. You could say you were in the back of your car by the trunk helping your passenger and by the time you got around to the front he already scanned your registration. It doesn't cost anything to fight the ticket so you might as well try but it sounds like your chances are pretty slim.

I renewed my registration on time, but forgot to affix the new registration sticker to my windshield. I now received a parking ticket for an expired registration. Can I beat this by submitting email proof that I renewed on time and that my registration was up-to-date, or am I still on the hook because technically speaking my car was parked on a city street showing an expired registration?

I think as long as your car was registered you should win. It's like if you get pulled over and left your license at home you wouldn't get a driving without a license. You could say you registered your car but hadn't received the new registration in the mail yet.

My sister had the same story and the judge responded that you can't drive or park a car on the city street without a current sticker on the window. The fact that the it was registered at the time of the ticket doesn't help. By all means, try to fight it, but just letting you know her experience.

Such chutzpah. As if paying state, city and sales tax wasn't enough. Good luck to the person fighting it.

I just got a ticket for the sticker not being affixed to the windshield and instead was resting on the dashboard. I was waiting until i can get hold of goo gone to remove the old sticky residue to affix the new one properly. The registration was in the exact spot it should be just was on the dashboard. I affixed it to the windshield immediately after receiving the ticket and obviously it is not affixed well because of the old residue still there. Anything I can do to fight it?

It worked great in communist Russia. Why not bring it here.
The city just gets crazier by the minute.

Report and get compensated

After reporting you have 10-60 days for the DOT to respond to this call  :)

Ticket for expired inspection.
He wrote the wrong precinct.
Is that a mistake that gets the ticket automatically dismissed?
(When I write the info into the judge?)

Best way to fight a ticket? App or via mail?

Ticket for expired inspection. He wrote the wrong address. I was parked on Rockaway Ave, he wrote Rockaway Parkway. The address that he wrote is a real address a few blocks away from where I was parked, but I obviously have no way of proving where I was parked. Any way I could use that to get it dismissed?

ETA: I googled the address he wrote (1185 Rockaway Pkwy), and it comes up on Google Maps, but I drove by, and there's no actual building with that address. What kind of evidence could I submit to show this?

Expired inspection.
He wrote the wrong precinct number for the address.

Is that grounds for dismissal?
