Print server problem
« on: December 29, 2012, 08:28:00 PM »
here are the devices involved  ASUS RT-N13U, imageCLASS MF4350d and my inspiron N5010 win 7 64 bit
in case it matters, i'm using my router as a repeater.
the printer works plugged into the computer.
when i have plugged into the print server, the router is recognizing it as enabled on the router web page. Originally I couldn't get the computer to find it so i installed it manually, entering the ip address. the first test page printed but all attempts afterwards failed.
The computer says the printer is ready, but when i go ahead and print I get an error saying it cannot contact the printer over the network. I've double checked that all (router, computer, and printer) of them have the same IP address. after reseting, and clearing the que the computer again shows the printer online and ready except now it wasn't even plugged into the router.
any ideas?
TIA

It can't be connected via usb and LAN at the same time. Pick one.

I think I once had this router, I also had an issue. I'm not sure they support all printers

I doubt he would need a printer server if it had a lan port
