Living Social - 3 Oil changes in Lakewood for $30

Got it today.
Per the t&c's, you must make an appointment and you must present coupon when the vehicle is brought in.

Not per the T&C, you also must call multiple times to have them mail you the voucher.

Scammers!! He was taking the coupon away so I said I need that for the next 2 oil changes! So he said no you only get 1. I asked why the face of the coupon has 3 cutouts for free oil changes so he said its for emphasis. I told him that the posting on Living Social said 3 oil changes so he said they misunderstood him and that's why he stop offering the coupon. he then told me there's a 6 dollar charge for oil disposal even though the coupon says 3 dollars

Ugh, then these merchants wonder why the groupon-type marketing campaigns don't work. With service like that, who would ever come back?

Getting a coupon for free on Living Social because 3 people bought it? $0

Paying $5 for your oil chang because you convince them that the fee is 3 + tax and not 6 + tax? $5 c

Calling Auto Care Special and hopefully getting them to issue you a new coupon to a different store? Priceless

Lesson learned: DON'T GO TO SILVINOS!!!!!

So the question is: What did he think going into this? Did he think people would go for it?
I asked why someone would pay $30 for a coupon giving the zechus to pay another $5 for a $35 total instead of the usual $25?

Btw I recently went to midas for an oil change. They charge $20+ tax, it includes free tire rotation and a free vehicle inspection.

The downside is that you need to make an appointment,  and the oil change takes 45 minutes!

Its located in the 9 NB in howell after the first traffic light coming from lkwd.

hello, I finally received the voucher. I wanted to redeem it but Silivano auto repair claims that its only for ONE oil change not three. I cannot contact "Auto care special" because they do not answer the phone or return my calls. I am very disappointed with my first purchase from living social, - absolutely nothing about it went smoothly. As I have not used the coupon, neither do I intend on going through with the aggravation of a second attempt I am requesting a refund. Thank you

Call 480-659-3900. I've had success getting through and they promised to look into this and get back to me. I would suggest asking them for a new coupon to a different shop.

If you want money you probably need to go through Living Social since that's who you bought it from

I just used the coupon to Silvino's for an oil change and not only were the guys SUPER nice, but they did the oil change fairly quickly and i asked for some extras (different grade of oil, air in tires...) and they granted me whatever i asked. They knew i had the coupon, and even handed it back to me WITHOUT hole punching anything! I paid him $3 for disposal an $2 tax.
I spoke to the manager and he said "only jews have in with the oil change coupons" lol
Living Social AND Auto Care answered the phone basically on the first ring-and were very accommodating and courteous as well!
Not sure how these people spoke to the attendants... maybe thats the problem.
I would recommend a hundred times!
(just dont walk in all cocky)
