Hyatt Refund Advicences during a 5 night stay.  Being offered $400 or 30,000 GP points by the GM.  What should I take?

It's a close-ish call, but I'd say take the cash unless you have a Hyatt stay at a top-end property in the foreseeable future.

I would definitely take the cash
You can buy 2 free Hyatt nights on the forums for $400 which well give you the equivalent of up to 44k points

Good point -- but then you'd have to be comfortable with that whole process.

How long are Hyatt expiration on points?  I have hyatt CC as well.
I see the 30k as more valuable as I am trying to plan a vaca to Europe and PH in European cities for $400-500+ a night.

If you collect Hyatt points, take them. Hard to value them at under 1.5

If for stays less than 2-4 days, certs are more efficient.
