Where do you see the "Best Offer Option"?

If your talking about buying then if the seller offers it then it's right under buy it now and if your talking about selling its only available in fixed price

Not every listing has the BO option.

tidbit of the day never ever agree to ship to a different address sometimes a buyer will contact you and request you send it to there office address because they are unavailable during the day..blah...blah.. It can be he is telling the truth. but if you comply you will loose a paypal or ebay dispute
my suggestion is,inform buyer you will cancel order and ask buyer to kindly repurchase with correct address.

I am selling a camera on ebay and was contacted by a buyer in Portugal who wishes to buy it from me. I chose calculated shipping cost. Will it be a pain to do this and any thoughts on the process? If it's easy perhaps I can get him to pay me more for the hassle.

Thanks!

Ship it in a USPS flat rate box, it will cost 23.95 (6 weeks) or 44.50 (1 week) depending on the shipping speed.

I know people that have Fedex accounts that can get it there in 3 days for $32

Thanks! Do I need to deal with customs or anything like that? And does the USPS flat rate give proof of delivery?

Lastly is there any way for me to capitalize on this guy, to add a handling fee so to speak? I already chose calculated shipping.

You don't have to deal with customs.

Just fill out the customs form when you ship it (declaring the contents and value)

USPS Flat Rate if printed the label online will have tracking information that will be suffice for delivery.

Make sure you insure the package.

You could add a handling charge, but very few people charge that.

Thanks for the info, most appreciated. When I sell with shipping cost to be calculated does that mean that once I print out the label online and determine the cost that is when I notify the buyer what to pay for shipping? Or does Ebay just make up an estimate?

From what your saying it seems that there's really no reason why so many Ebay listings say that they will only ship in the lower 48. Would that be a correct assumption?

Usps flat rate envelopes and small boxes exclude tracking when you ship internationally - look on their site it clearly states that. I learnt that the hard way.

Ended up selling my camera to a buyer in the US. Is it best to print a shipping label through ebay or can I do better if I go to the post office? Also does the Post office have bubble wrap etc? #Clueless

I don't think you will get bubble wrap in the PO. IME Ebay is generally cheaper to buy postage. You can compare prices online first...
Buy discounted gift cards from me.

+1 to both points.

You can buy bubble wrap at Staples,  Walmart, etc.

Ebay is always cheaper since they give the online rate.

It's a 50/50.
If you don't mind potentially losing the money, don't do it.

i cancelled the order and now he reordered the item and put the address he wanted me to send it too as his ebay-pay pal account address... Does that mean I'm safe shipping it to him, and any potential scam I'll be covered for as long as there is proof of him signing off that he received the item ?!
