without naming names, im sure some people on this board think its kosher lechatchila since they officially have a rav hamchshir
Hey there are frum ppl who eat rabbinut. I highly doubt you will find anyone in the rabbinut upper [halachik] management that says a frum person should eat it.

I like how craz won't eat treif but has no qualms with maras ayin.
??? , treif is a diaoraysa and maras ayin is not even a real d'rabbanan.      and it's debatable if it was even maras ayin.

I'd like to think Rabbanut is still better than Hebrew National/Triangle K.

Where do you get this "kosher style" thing from?  It's allegedly Kosher, just not Glatt..  It's always been like that.
Do you know which part of the article we are talking about?

why should it be maras eyin, what did it look like he was being oiver?

I like how craz won't eat treif but has no qualms with maras ayin.

Yep you Must have been at Bens or know me so personally so why not describe to Everyone what I look like and what I was wearing!  Seems Stupidity is still running rampart. btw Al pe Halacha theres absolutly nothing wrong with walking into a Burger King ordering a soda and sitting down and drinking it with your yam on your head , payos sticking out and your tziz hanging out and its NOT maras ayin

Now if you want to know for sure about Bens why not ask your very own PlatinumGuy who was there as well and sitting down at a different table. I can tell you this, not 1 of the folks at the table I was sitting at understood why I wasnt eating or drinking anything! I simply told them Im on a special diet.It was well into the meal that it came out the special diet is a kosher one. Then when I started to explain about being religious not 1 of them at 1st believed me.They didnt even think I was Jewish yet being Religious

I told them I wasnt saying Bens isnt kosher, just that it isnt kosher enough for me, needless to say I wasnt about to give a lesson in kashrus, nor do I know for a fact if Bens is treif but it is open on Shabbos and not on a prepaid basis. Unlike many kosher style delis I dont believe they serve any Milk products

The person who wrote the story (link in the 1st post of this thread) was sitting at my table and overheard me talking to the person across from me and next to me, who were asking me why I wasnt eating or drinking.

So jj and anyone else you want to Bash,go right-ahead and make complete FOOLS of yourself you are doing a great job of it. May I suggest the next time you want to Bash me or anyone else that you get the FACTS 1st and if you dont know them then keep silent!

Now PLEASE let me go back to NOT posting on this site, and yes Im 'craz' on FT and you are more then welcome to join FT and PM me all you want, just keep in mind that Ive got 60k booked starting this Sun till the end of Feb, so Replys from me may take awhile longer then they normally do.

Let's disagree one point at a time. Starting with the most basic and main point. Reb Moshe disagrees with your above quote, as I posted up thread a reference Shu’t Igros Moshe, Orach Chayim 2:40.

Cant look it up now dont have it where I am, so I cant comment perse but personally Ive discussed it with a# of  ravs OK none on the level of Reb Moshe and each said there wasnt a problem doing it.Its not something I decided or determined on my own.

W/o being able to look at it now, why then is it OK for a person to have gone to the likes of The River Cafe or the old Windows of the World on a date order and drink a soda or whatever or any Hotel lobby where next to them will be people not only ordering something to drink but ordering and eating the treif sandwhich or whatever as well. and what Yeshiva guy hasnt gone on who knows how many dates at these places.

And they sit there wearing their black hat the whole time, where those who see them say Oh theres a Rabbi over there. Does Reb Moshe matir going to these places on a date and thusly its only maras ayin if craz/steve2 does it in the likes of BK but its 100% OK for me to walk into a 5* restaurant as most of Lakewood and other Yeshivas do where anyone who looks at me dressed like a yeshiva guy sees the person as a Rabbi.I know not 1 person at Bens thought I was a Rabbi as I said they didnt even know I was Jewish except for Dovster who I met once at his kibbutz in EY. I dont even know if PlatniumGuy knew who I was before telling him

Trust me it took me awhile before I decided to make the post as I promised myself not to and as you know I stuck to it. Its just it takes a ton of ___ to accuse a person of doing something when the accuser wasnt there and has no idea what the heck they are talking about. But just wanted to Bash me for Bashing sake

The old adtage is still front and center; Common sense is anything but Common (not referring to what you just posted)
