But Waze is different, and it has major advantages over Google maps.

I sure hope Apple doesn't get their hands on this awesome product.

In the summer I tested a couple of mapping apps on a ten hour road trip, and waze in the us was pretty much useless.

dunno. when i use it in tristate area it usually is accurate almost to the minute. i used it on a drive from brooklyn to somewhere near boston. it was great. alerted me to every cop/speed trap i passed

Strange, where was the road trip?

IDK, I've used Waze heavily not just for city driving, but also on multiple interstate few-hour drives, here in the USA as well as a bit in Israel, and its mostly accurate, and an awesome driving tool.
