Yes. Moreover, the extra benefits over the regular Amazon Visa only apply as long as you have Prime. Otherwise, even though the card remains the same, the terms become that of the plain Amazon Visa.

The last time I got Prime, they canceled my card and sent me a new one, Claiming it was because I got Prime and therefore needed a Prime card instead of the regular card, even though I have it.

This has never happened to me before, even when I switched back and forth, which they say will warrant me to get a new card automatically every time.

The problem is you need to wait till the new card comes to use it on Amazon. Now I'm scared to cancel Prime.

It was the same number just a different security code. My purchases were being declined
