There's absolutely nowhere decent in Pittsburgh anymore.  Just an extremely mediocre pizza shop.
Cleveland's kosher restaurants are a 90-125 minute drive away depending on where in PIT you are.

That's a shame, sounds even worse than Dallas. I'll be staying in Squirrel Hill (with one night at the Airport Hyatt Regency). But we do have a relative coming from University Heights...maybe they can get us s/t to go

PIT Airport is 100 minutes to the CLE restaurants.  Squirrel Hill is about 2 hours.

i guess the same reason there was a bakery rosenbergs that wasnt kosher, but visitors didnt realize bec of the name - it ended up burning down.

what happened to the bakery on murray ave. (was that called simple treats and closed down?) that was a great memory of my childhood!!!!

rita's ices was a great memory of high school

dan u forgot in ur list of past restaurant - the meating place and then the one the fakiros opened up in the same place when it closed down (b4 the meating place there was a not kosher restaurant that also didnt make it very long)

i havent been back to the pitts in 8 years so it would be interesting to see how murray ave changed (koshermart?, prime kosher?, pinskers?)
