I brought two iPads into the country about a year or so ago and had no problem. They were legitimate gifts and were gift wrapped and I had no problem - I  put one in each suitcase we were taking and when they pulled me aside to ask me I told them they were gifts... Maybe it helped that I had other not expensive and not electronic wrapped gifts in there as well...

The meches people can be real @$$holes. Paging rots5...

I would go the extra mile to make it look REALLY authentic - gift wrap each one, with a bow, write a nice card for each one, etc. It may same like an excessive waste of time and effort, but trust me, it's worth it.
