I believe you. I just said IME.

BTW, you can get together anything on a AA PNR, even revenue and miles, and even 2 regions which are not bookable, they just will charge as 2 separate tickets. So, by showing your reservation you haven't convinced me at all.

BTW, this bug of MH showing Economy when booked in business is really making me sick.

Used to be like that with LY and EY for a long time, but they fixed it a few months ago.

My bad. I read IME as "in my estimation" for some reason.
Kind of related to this, has anyone had success in booking an "ilegal" AA award when it comes to regions? Such as Routing through europe on the way to asia? I know that you usually are not allowed to do this but maybe somebody has experience in slipping through the cracks?

This problem is endless.

It clearly seems that LY blocked most of their inventory to AA (obviously because this makes their program sound like a joke compared to AA, 30K/22.5K + $55 Vs. 700/1500 + $158) on the HKG/BKK/PEK route, which resulted that even what is available they are having problems to book, obviously because the systems are not linked together.

I don't have the time right now, but if you can compile a list of examples on key routes (say TLV-JFK, LAX, YYZ, CDG, BKK, HKG) with sample dates and classes where you have success or failure I'd be happy to run the story and tweet it to AA and LY.

All routes besides the Asia seem to be more-less OK by now, the Asia is on big time with almost 0 availability on all dates that LY is showing X and E available. Even the few dates that they do see it, they get errors booking which makes every reservation a pain.

You can try it with almost all days.

The problem is that they don't want to admit that this is a problem, since so few of their customers book that route.

They all keep on saying "ELAL doesn't give us the seats, it's a not our problem"....

Tweeting ended up with nothing, because all these people know 0 about X and E and other stuff, all they know is about "direct access".
90% of all airline reps are trained to say that every airline releases different inventory to partners than to themselves, and even than to different partners.

having spoken to the matmid staff they have no idea and are convinced matmid requires less points than other airlines (even after contracting someone specifically to research that)

They only use that in cases that they see the inventory but cannot book it.

Very hard to convince the reps otherwise.

I was able to get a rep to make a reservation thru the old system sabre, is that good news or even the new system allowed reservations just the ticketing is the issue that doenst come up.
Also the rep i spoke to saw lots of availability on the new system acorn??
Is this an improvement?

Did the agent suggest using the old system, or did you ask them to do it?

what?!? How's his possible?! Seems like everyone is having issues.
