Wow! Nobody answered this.  Did you ever find out the best option?  I'm going to be in Asia for a month starting this Monday, so any info would really help.  Let me know.  Thanks.

If your based in NY or you can make yourself based in NY then NY state only allows them to charge you a maximum amount of days for your insurance. Basically if your going for 30 days I believe they can charge you for 14 (don't remember exactly) but you will be covered for 30. Whereas other states do no have a maximum.

I ended up using World Nomads, and thank goodness I did.  I had about $600 worth of losses. I paid $228 for my wife and myself for 5 weeks of coverage, and it paid for itself with an overage.  Their claims process is not hard to deal with either.

TFS. I didn't end up finding one to meet my needs. So didn't take any.

Going to Montreal for a few weeks with a pregnant wife. Thinking of getting Travelers medical insurance. Is pregnancy considered a per-existing condition?

That seems to be just a site that compares different companies...

Seems like it would be considered a pre-existing condition. and while chatting with them I also found out that many travel insurances don't cover a trip unless you fly. In short this seems a bit more complicated than I thought. Anyone have any experience with these things.

I checked out Squaremouth.com and they are a referral website.  Can anyone recommend which health/travel insurance to buy for travel to Israel?  Anyone ever use MedEx?

Anyone have any recommendations for travel and health insurance? Sending my grandparents to Israel and they would be needing these services.

I have done a bit of research it really depends on what week she is in. The only travel insurance that i know that specifically includes pregnancy is GEO Blue.
If she is before 5 months than that would technically be considered a medical emergency that *should* be covered but if they want they can make problems since its not an unexpected (no pun indended) emergency.

It's after 5 months, is there no chance that her local insurance would cover? It Cigna if that makes a difference.

You would have to call them.

It cant hurt to take out travel insurance it costs about $30 so you can't really go wrong. If i am not mistaken GEO Blue does until 7 months, but give them a call.

None.

If it were me I would never rely on CC medical insurance, in any situation not just this case.
