I was actually also looking around for someone to make a 5-6 page static company website + a blog.

It seems that the going rate in the community is $1-3K for this work, which I believe is overpriced. The whole thing shouldn't cost more than $300. It's under 10 hours of work especially if you're using a template and adding a logo.

Anyone know how to get it done for cheap?

Im not pushing or staring a new thread about candies but i will say the one person who i know we designs and its my wife - if i knew others I'd say. She actualy is way to cheap if u ask me :-) pm me ill give you her work email -

You can get a free name, and design the premade templates yourself @ www.webstarts.com .

It lets you upload Audio but it won't let the person download the audio AFAIK from the site. They can just listen to it. CMIIW.

It's not my day job but I've designed and coded plenty of sites in my spare time.  Usually for shuls and such I do them for free but I'd be more than happy to make a commercial one for a price.  I don't want to give an exact amount without seeing more project specs but no basic website should cost anywhere near 1-3K.  More realistic for basic static sites is 1-500.  PM me and we can talk specifics.
