Author Topic: Any good way to get upgraded on Alitalia? (Read 4797 times)

I'm flying to Israel on Alitalia and I'm looking for a cheap way to get upgraded. Does anyone know of a way to get upgraded? I may be signing up for the Amex Plat so I'll have those points to trade plus the actual use of the card. Any help is appreciated.

I am scheduled to fly on Alitalia from JFK-ROME-TLV in March. I don't have any miles to speak of and no miles cc. Is there a possibility of asking for an upgrade to business and getting it, either for free or for a small fee? anyone have experience with this with Alitalia or airlines in general? Thanks alot.

I dont know why it is such as preposterous question. I have asked for and gotten upgrades before.

I've been offered international upgrades from as low as $300 to $2200. I have no personal experience with Alitalia but in general most airport upgrades will cost you if you don't have status.

It was a simple question for advice from people who fly alot. I barely get to fly and am not in the "miles game" so just wanted advice from freq flyers, However TRUST ME i have WAY WAY more knowledge than you in Aviation, travel etc than you will ever know, so don't go assuming someone is ignorant. My user name DOES match my experience and knowledge.

I'm just curious, if you barely get to fly how do you have so much knowlege in aviation?

I used to work in travel and aviation industry and trained as pilot, but my job schedule does not allow me to travel often
