avis blacklist
« on: January 08, 2013, 02:06:39 AM »
hi for starters I saw the old thread on this subject but it has not had activity in over 2 years and when I attempted to respond I got this message:
Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 180 days.
Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic.
that said.......(for all the repost police!)

I got blacklisted with avis about 11 years ago for trying to rent under a corp. with out underage they charged me the underage fee($125 a day) and then blacklisted me when I was in Israel avis there saw I was blacklisted(but I was friendly with the agent so they let me rent). over the years it has been a pain in the neck I never even attempted to get removed from the b-list. I would like to attempt this...can anyone direct me who to speak to? any and all help is much appreciated thank you in advance!

Its generally better to revive an old thread then to start a new one.
It's not about the quantity of your posts.  It's about the quality.

Chuchem,

I am very sorry you feel this way.  I apologize to you and to anyone else here on DDF who feels that my posts dont have any tachlis to them.  I will try to work on my posts having more tachlis to them in the future.

I was just trying to inform him that in the future there is no such thing as a dead thread....and we would rather a thread be revived than having new threads opening up with topics that were previously discussed.

@Chuchem

I beg to disagree. In the past few weeks @mmermss has put in a lot of work in making the forums more organized thereby making it easier for all of us to access the valuable info offered here.

@mmermss Keep it up!

i was once blacklisted from avis and i got myself removed. I have the number for the head guy in the "security dept" which takes care of this stuff
 but first i would suggest you calling cust service and ask them 1- what it says in you profile, and 2- who to speak to so you can fix it.
you can also send them an email from the web site they are helpful .

They either blacklist you for 2 years or life. First find out which one.

Try calling and writing to the Executive dept. explaining that you made a mistake when you were younger and you want to start renting with them again.

Had a similar issue and the "security department" is the way to go.

I would get someone's name in that department, perhaps try and talk to him over the phone. If that doesn't work they have a fax number and you should write a letter explaining how it was years ago your now older, smarter, more responsible and you would like to rent again with Avis for business purposes etc.....Or something along those lines.

Then follow up and they should remove you eventually.
