From what it seems to me, doing big transactions is asking to be shut down.

depends on the month, it wouldn't be unusual to accept 3K-4K a month.
The first transaction over 1K is what froze us.

Which is interesting, cuz they charge only 2.75% per transaction, with no $.30 fee or like that.

If they only want small transaction - they cant be making too much

They will release it after 6 months, or if closing the account refund the cc immediately. AFAIK federal banking laws prohibit them from holding peoples money for more than 180 days

I dunno if paypal gives you the option to refund the CC

When a Paypal account is suspended you have no access to any type of transferring, That's what I remember (I could be wrong)

And they permanently shut my account. Anyone had lucky reopening?

I had a second Square account, they shut that one down too, (about a months after they shut the 1st one down).
