I booked two nights at the Key West property using my Chase free nights awards only to get a call from Hyatt that the Chase free nights cannot be used in that property. The problem is that I made tickets in between the booking and that phone call.
Called Gold Passport and was told by the slightly rude supervisor that "it says clearly in the terms and conditions that the cert does not work for Key West."
Now I honestly did not know that it does not work there. I simply wanted to go to a category 6 in Florida and chanced upon that property.
I understand that the terms and conditions disqualify it, but why was I specifically told that "there are two properties in Key West and the cert works for one of them"?
