Reasons to remove cancelled cards from amex.com
« on: January 09, 2013, 03:59:18 PM »
I have applied for gold and plat in past (some as old as 3 years ago) and I am re-applying for same cards. I'd like to keep all my discontinued cards attached to my americanexpress.com login so I can see all my transactions that I have made with each card (for records/accounting purposes).

Any reason not to? Does it somehow change my churning ability?

Is there an easy way for me to retain my records for each CC and still remove from my online account?

Thanks.

Download transactions to one of many available financial tracking applications (e.g., Quicken, Mint, MoneyWell, etc)?

Yeah started doing that....

Did you know that you can't import into mint.com?!

...started becoming a hassle and it's far more convenient to just login and search through my transactions.

But if I am somehow hurting my churning ability it is obviously not worth it.

Does anyone here churn but still leave old cards on their profile?

sorry to be a nudge but can someone please hook me up with the answer to the following basic q:

Will leaving my cancelled platinum cards (from a year ago) in my online profile affect my chances of getting new bonus?

Thanks.
