Couldn't this answer be given for most things?

It is said on such areas that "Do not separate from the community" (Pirkei Avos 2:5).

Yes, when it comes to matters of convention, ie: what is considered normative, one should go with the flow. Obviously, this same principle doesn't apply at all to matters of morality or ethics so that one may rationalize, "Hey, everybody's doing it."

Hence, the Rebbe said the words: "in such areas," or in the actual Hebrew "b'k'gon da."

Ok so my next question is does it state what areas it does apply to or is that part open to interpretation?

My father always says that these days you can take any letter from Igros or Sichah from Hisvaaduyos (and even many Sichos from Likutey Sichos), print it as a Pirsum Rishon and the Oilem will go crazy.

This letter was printed in Igros years ago, the Rebbe's position on vaccines is well known (all you have to do is open up the index for Igros and search), yet there are Lubavitch families that twist themselves into pretzels to fit into their preconceived notions.

I don't know. The administration said Ebola isn't really that dangerous. Is it worth even the cost of producing it?

Mostly very well. There were a few people who opened their mouth but Rabbi tatz happens to be a pediatrician himself and knows the medical facts and studies much better than anyone sitting in that room and halachah for sure he does he has spoken to rav elyashiv about it. It was really interesting to finally get the facts right

The few kocholefels who opened their mouths were probably me. Who agreed with him, and still like to fight.

Na there was one guy who was really into the whole opposing vaccination and was really fighting hard but he had no chance.
It was actually interesting that after the lecture I heard a guy walk up to Rabbi Tatz and ask him if it's too late to vaccinate his kids now and when should he do it now that he was convinced that he has to vaccinate.
Rabbi Tatz told a story that when he was a pediatrician in a certain city in Israel they had the whole city vaccinated besides for one family who were really against it.
He took them to Rav Elyashiv and Rav Elyashiv told them that they must vaccinate he also told Rabbi Tatz right before he left that as a doctor he is permitted to force people to get vaccinated.

I can see it now, a rabbi with black hat and jacket on sneaking into homes at night with needles and injecting kids with vaccines.
