Just asking a question... for the anti-vaxers out there...

So my 4 year old wasn't vaxed. for anything. (why, is a long story...). Totally healthy in every way.
Had chicken pox a month ago. (which I prob wouldn't have vaxed for in any case...)
Now he has ITP, which is an autoimmune response to the virus, where the immune system attacks the body, specificaly the platelets.
He was admited to the hospital on friday night with basicaly 0 platelets in his body.
Why do you not consider "stories" like this at all in your view of the issue?

2. It's not shocking. The big hospitals in Israel are good at things that have urgency, and especially related to Peds or otherwise healthy people. Outpatient and things that are (wrongly or rightly) not perceived as urgent is where the wait lands.

Released on Friday B"H. Platelets up to 46. (46x what he had before, but still low)
Off the steroids they were giving him. But told not to go to school at least till he sees the hematologist on thursday... (still worried about clotting + suppressed immune system from the steroids)
Loving all the Abba and Mama time he's getting.

(My 3 yr old is getting a little jealous... creating all sorts of imaginary symptoms to see if we'll take her to the Beit Cholim too... )

Although not as scary as yours, we also had a chicken pox incident.

My son had just reached 1 year and we had not given the vaccine yet and he got c. pox.

It got infected and he was in the hospital for a week getting antibiotics.

Reviving a bit of an inactive thread here with the hopes to gain some clarity, I am not a "Anti vaxxer" per se but have become suspicious like most.
My 5th child here and was wondering if everybody goes about giving all vaccines as the CDC orders, personally I would like to pick and chose them and space them but was wondering what other non-hard-liners do.

Before covid, I trusted doctors and vaccines. Now I realize that vaccines have not played a positive role in public safety whatsoever. Every single decline in any illness related to vaccines was proceeded by a natural decline anyway. For example, measles was nearly eradicated in 1962 in the United States of America and the vaccine came out in 1963. Smallpox vaccines could not have possibly prevented a single illness or death due to the way that they administered the vaccines for example, cutting the arms of two or 300 people and using the same medical tools to administer it within open wounds without sanitizing it RFK Junior, who is the head of Hhs Has stated that the rise and autism began in 1989 preceded by the vaccine indemnification by Congress in 1986. He’s playing politics and running all the double blind controlled placebo studies that have never been done before and is gonna wait until he has his gold standard science to reveal to the world. What a lot of of us have known all along, which is that the science behind vaccines is absolutely garbage and has a negative result on all health. The only placebo controlled RCT study that was ever done was for the COVID-19 vaccine by Pfizer and they unblinded the study after six months and administer the vaccine to almost all of the placebo group. There is literally not one placebo controlled RCT for long-term study on any vaccine I cannot comprehend how I’m the only person bothered by this.

My Posek agrees with me, but refuses to come out and take a position due to the backlash they would receive. I can’t get exemptions at my kids school and I’m absolutely distraught by what I perceive to be as a failure of the Jewish leadership to take a strong position on endorsing parent autonomy in making decisions for their own children.

How do I reconcile this with emunas chachamim? It’s clearly not a conspiracy theory that vaccines cause neurological damage, proper safety testing was never done, and quite frankly they simply don’t work as well as governmental agencies pretend they do. Furthermore, as we have seen recently with the COVID vaccine, all vaccine immunity wanes and therefore the illusion of herd immunity through vaccines is ridiculous. So why make the kids whose parents don’t want their kids to have them, mandate compulsory vaccination? How did this happen in the Jewish community where we just let the government dictate parental decisions for a frum household!? What would happen if they banned Milah? This issue has shaken my emunah and I’m honestly looking for advice. I could excuse it when autism was 1/10,000 or 1/1,000. It’s now 1 in 31 children. When will enough be enough?

I’m looking to reconcile the failure of Jewish leadership to protect parents rights and come out against vaccine requirements in schools. I’m not a scientist or doctor, and I’ve read an immense amount on this issue and there is no evidence vaccines are safe, effective, or can take credit for getting rid of any disease. Engineers, clean water, and indoor plumbing are the real heroes here.

Gedolim with access to the best doctors in the world have to be aware of this and are not making the right choice. If I have figured it out, they already know.
