I appreciate your input, but I do not like the fact that you make it sound like I am someone fishing websites for HT just wanting to get to 100 HT's. You know very well what I do and that most of the deals I post would most likely never be found, or found too late otherwise. I think I will position myself on the receiving end for now.

I think you should post deals that you find, if it's not the HT count your after you'll still be helping out to whoever finds the deal.

Not all deals are DDMS Worthy or HT worthy but it's still worth posting the deal.
Continue to post the deals you are willing to share in the future so we can all continue to take advantage of them!

1 per post has always been the policy and if 2 were awarded then it was by accident.
Occasionally I'll reconcile HTs with the backend search engine and add hat tips for that, so you may have gotten for that Uber post even if it wasn't supposed to earn a HT.

I don't think you understand the economics of a deals forums. Dan decided to reward people who get to 100 HT's. It doesn't mean that I am going to chase for 100 but if I have a post that should count towards it that had a link on DDMS and therefore was more profitable than a post on the forums, then I expect recognition for it.

I've always followed the count closely, by adding it in writing in my notes one to my count every time, and it has always matched so it is not like I just counted them. How do you think I knew all of the details? One accident would have made sense, but twice..

either way it was never written as a obligation.... the number could change as well, as the people who reach 100 increases.?

A prize is a reward. Don't get me wrong, if I did get 100 but did not get anything I would not get upset or annoyed, there are no written rules on it being forever. However, I am sure that Dan knows that people would need an incentive to just not leave the forms. Unless you just like the anonymous "fame" and have plenty of time on your hands.

So, who will be next to 100 and what should their prize be

I'll tell you the truth I was expecting something just wasn't expecting as big of a gift as the one before me.

I call BS, if everyone who got 100 HT's got a prize and it stopped when you get 100, that you wouldn't be upset. Shouldn't and won't are very different.

Plenty of people posted many deals before a single prize was ever given out. Now that a prize was given people feel entitled, it is human nature. And I think that is part of no good deed...

I take issue with people that have 100's of HT's but only posted lousy deals, links to other sites deals or were the first to post an email notification deal from Amex or United that half the people here got.

When it comes to HT, it should quality > quantity.
I only have 6 HT but every one is for an original, high value deal that I found, not a link to some other site or a $5 off some stupid zero gravity chair that happens 3 times a week.
