once you are 2+ people a cab is maybe a few extra shek, and you go strait to your destination as opposed to sometimes an extra hour,
i have heard of 150 to 250 do some research and you can save time and money, i like Barelan taxi.

I didn't know the exact Nesher price so I went L'chumra (notice I wrote aprox).

Also as mentioned there are taxis for 150 shekel or less such as Daka 99.

Another option is a car rental for $25 from thrifty but that would entail a 5 min shuttle and you would have to pay gas.

Any hybrids in IL?  The gas always seems to cost more than the rental :(

Yes. But all included TLV - J'lem would still be cheaper with the smallest car.

IIRC they have diesel/solar cars available which gets more km for the gallon

I usually rent a Mazda 3. This past trip in Israel I got an upgrade to a Honda Civic and noticed a huge difference with how many miles I was making to the Gallon. It def pays to have a better car and save on Gas especially in Israel with those prices.

My question is not limited to TLV-Jlm, I'm saying, generally speaking, when renting a car in Israel (especially for a tourist, who's driving a lot around the country), the gas comes out so very expensive..
I guess this would apply to Europe too...

So is anyone familiar with e.g. a specific branch etc or dealer etc., where you can easily obtain a upgrade or for not much more $ to a Hybrid or solar whatever... ?
