I asked for a refund check, and they offered to do a direct bank deposit instead... i anyhow had 2 other checks im waitin for that they said they sent out (im not in US now so i dont know my mail that i received) so ill see if i didnt receive it or not in time i will call them and see what the deal is. If they say they wanna issue me a refund on my CC for purchasing the GC, than i will just sell my card instead. get it? or am i being so unclear

I actually just got in the mail yesterday a letter saying that I have to send back my coins or pay up $500.00, since they only partially charged my GC @ time of shipping, when they went to charge it again, they were not taking it anymore. Thankefully i kept my GC for some odd reason so I was able to figure out what happend. So now I have to pay the $500.00 and liquidate the GC. Was a real pain until I figured oout what happened. I called the Mint kept getting transferred around until I finally spoke with some higher, explained the situation. She said she will manually put in the GC number no problem. This morning I look ans the gift card charge went thru without a hitch.

UPDATE: i received my bank deposit of 1000$ and it was much faster than those stupid checks which for some reason their taking months to get...

I told them i dont buy anything without purchase protection, and these cards have no protection. so they sent me a refund...

Yes I called AMEX Gift Card CS yesterday and they said the Mint denied the charge because they no longer accept AMEX Gift Cards as method of payment.

It probably just depends how much you do, if you are just trying to meet the 1k Platinum spending you should be fine, I think...
