Anybody else having trouble ordering the 1000 gift cards using the Amex Platinum. I get an error on the website about the payment not going through. I registered the card Amex Platinum yesterday. Could that be the problem?

Login to your Amex account and go to this page to check recent declines (if you have multiple Amex accounts for the login, you will have to check for your Platinum card at the top of the page), you might find the answer there.

What does it mean to get a refund on the AMEX gift cards? Do they return them to the card used to purchase them?

Now I did (well , almost). It seems that some people are getting checks while others are getting chargebacks. Any strategies to avoid the latter?

If this is so easy, why was everyone bothering with the coins?

Amex F/R'ing you and shutting you down for playing games.

It doesn't have to be against the rules, it's common sense if you asked for a refund you wouldn't keep ordering.

Does Citi do F/Rs? If one is to call and set the Cash Advance limit to $0 theres no risk in ordering these GC's on a Citi AA card right?

I don't think there's much risk with once, just don't get greedy and try to do $5,000 in one order, or you might not get a refund (by check) approved...

well if I can get lets say $2k worth of gc every week or two and get them cashed out by check with ease then being as I currently get double miles I can get an extra 8-16k miles a month for doing basically nothing... no?

You're welcome try, I just don't know how long it'll work before Amex catches on. I guess worst case scenario is they refuse to refund you and you're stuck with GCs...

I can't find where it says to cancel the trial. I clicked on a button that said "manage my orders" but it just refreshed the page and showed me the same thing. I can't find my specific gift card order. Can someone help?

not true.. after DAYS i mean literally..., i finally found how to cancel online...

Took me 2 minutes...

Go to manage your orders.
On the right side about half way down it says "Your Premium Shipping Plan free trial will end in XX days." click the word "view" next to it.
Then it says "If you wish to cancel your enrollment , please click here"

What he just said is true. Although I should add that I needed to be LOGGED OUT before going to the gift card page, and then click "Log in to see and manage your orders". Otherwise if I was logged in and I clicked "Manage my orders" it wouldn't load.

Hope everyone find the information useful and is able to work it out.
