Unless your situation is just a glitch you will no longer be able to order Amex Gc's.

All I know, is that my Amex Gift Card purchases keep getting denied by Amex. Yet when I call they can't figure out why.
Is it possible they caught on that people are doing this just to reach the spending threshold and are therefore making it so difficult?

Personal side is 5k every 14 days. Business side is either 35 or 75k.

As with a FR there is really no correct answer. Some are pushing the 75k limit with no AA. Some have not even hit the 5k limit and have been shut down. It might have more to do with how the cards are being used. When Amex got wind of the cards being used for mint purchases they closed that loophole real quick. Everyone thought the mint stop accepting Amex GC’s but it was actually Amex that was declining all mint orders on their end. I wish I could give you a better answer but nobody that I know of has figured it out.

I'm trying to order 3 x $1000 GCs, not more. It was denied. I have since tried again 3 more times. All denied. The system may now think of it as $12k, although it was only 3k, yet attempted (and denied) four times.

I'm asking how many GC amounts and orders does it take before AMEX GC stop letting orders through. You then responded about FR and AA (look back and see for yourself). Now I was asking what exactly happened to cause and AA at all. Did AMEX GC department somehow cause that to happen because that was my question initially. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear before. So now I guess I'm wondering the following;
1) How much $$$ worth of GCs can one order without being banned from buying more?
2) Has anyone gotten A/A and suspected it had to do with GC purchases (or amazon payments for that matter)?

Some are pushing the 75k limit with no AA. Some have not even hit the 5k limit and have been shut down.

Not sure on this one. Almost everyone I deal with used cash back cards (non Amex) to order Amex GC’s.

If you do it right there is no shipping charge, no purchase fee and an extra 1.6-2% cash back besides your CC rewards.

Amex is acting ridiculous. I purchased a 3k gc and then almost three weeks later tried to purchase another 3k gc. BC of purchase fees/shipping it was an extra 6.95. They said I therefore exceeded my 14 day limit. They said that I only had 3k left and I spent $3006.95. I said OK, and even though 14 days had already passed I said I would purchase a 2k gc instead. They then blocked it AGAIN!

I called them and of course the first rep had no clue what he was saying so I asked to speak to a supervisor. Got one on the phone and explained that they are blocking it for no reason etc....
Anyhow he said he'll bring it to the right dept and get back to me. Still waiting to hear from them....

How do I purchase using the business side that doesn't have such narrow restrictions? Do I just select business in the checkbox on the side and it'll consider it such? Will cash back site work on the business GC purchases?
