It is confirmed that Citi will consider these as a Cash Advance. They will hit you with a fee AND won't count them toward spending.

HOW TO CASH OUT?
Blue Bird: Amex gift cards cannot be used to load bluebird.
Money Orders: Many locations require a debit card with a PIN; Amex GC don't have a PIN.
Try Amazon Payments, Target Amex or MC/VS GC's from many places.

I'm purchasing while logging in to a new online account and it is not allowing me a 90 free trial for free shipping, is is charging me $99 right away.
Make sense that it is because the cards are the same name SSN and Bday of the cards in another online account that has already had the trial?

I ordered GCs to be delivered to my office. I got a shipping confirmation email today, When I go into the order in my account online is says that the shipping address is the billing address which is my home,  (at the bottom of the screen it does list my work address as a shipping address).

Do AmEx automatically ship GCs to the billing address even if you enter a different shipping address in the order?
