Are you talking about working once they graduate? I'd say law.
In school? I'd definitely say Med.

Based on my own observation of people I know who went through Law and Medical school I would agree.

Probably best off asking someone whose done both. :)

I'm finishing law school and my wife is in optometry school. From conversations with her and her med school friends, optomotery and med school are fairly similar in first year course subjects and load.

As far as I can tell, law school is much more relaxed than medical school, but my wife sees my course work and studies and insists its the opposite. So, the bottom line seams to be that it depends on what type of learner you are, your skills and your study habits.

I love not having to memorize details of biology,  histology and anatomy and I got dizzy every time I saw the orgo materials she studied in pre-med. I also can't stand the sight of blood. On the flip side, she finds legal writing and reasoning to be convoluted and mystifying, and would dread the thought of being subjected to the socratic method in a classroom of 150 students.

She can always use the henche method.

Property Professor: Mr. ****, what is tacking?
henche: I don't know.
(property professor asks the next person, henche gets an A in the course)

Seems like so classes will decide a borderline grades based on class participation. I suppose if you know you'll ace the exam your method makes sense.

+1, they make excellent witnesses for personal injury lawsuits.

Some can make a few thousand an hour.

In school? I'd definitely say Med.

The first 2 years of Law School is definitely more intense than the first 2 years of med school. After that it flips entirely. 3rd year med (rotations) and residency (especially in the more competitive fields [surgery, plastics etc]) is basically giving your life to the job. 3rd year Law is supposed to be pretty easy as is 4th year med.

It's also important to keep in mind that in Law school you are fighting for a job whereas in med at most you're fighting for a specialty.

I found the first year of law school to be extremely difficult.

The last two years were a breeze.

Many of my law school friends said similar (with some variation on year 2). Def. seems to be 1>2>3 in terms of difficulty adjusting and influence on career.

Difficulty for me was 2>1>3.

Importance for a job 1>2>3.
