Need recommendation for high range wireless router

I have trouble getting connection to the internet in certain parts of my house (which is not that big to begin with)
I know it is a range issue because at one point I had a high gain usb wireless adapter for my laptop and got good signals.  It broke, and I would rather not have something hanging out of my laptop.

They see range extenders. It worked pretty ok for me, but they're not the greatest. Depends on your house. Check Staples or some such stores.
