I don't understand this. Why would Adobe be giving away their programs, some of which retail for $600+?

It seems like these are older versions of their software no? Seems smart, give you an outdated version so that you will want to upgrade

I don't think these are compatible with anything past XP. These programs will almost certainly not work on Vista, 7 and 8.

I wouldn't recommend using them. They're older than me! Now that's old! Anyway, I understand that they won't work on a lot of machines/operating systems. Better be careful.

Acrobat is working on windows 8. When you click to install it says that the file may not be compatible and you have to click on lear more (or something like that) for it to give you an option to install anyway.

Aren't they usually backwards compatible, granted you may lose any new features which it may have.

Yes new adobe can open old adobe, but any files created with new acrobat might not be accessible using the old acrobat.

Read somewhere that this had to do with them taking down the activation servers for the older products, and people realized that this essentially makes it free for anyone who wants to download the suite.

google and download primo pdf to convert anthing to a pdf
