My Sapphire preferred world master is 2 weeks away from the yearly fee. if i downgrade to the regular sapphire--would i then be able to apply for the preferred card again and receive the bonus points? how long would i need to wait? thanks

Why don't you just apply for the Sapphire Preferred Visa card?

I don't think anyone is being nasty. The question "What's the best CC to apply for" is being asked a lot on the forum and there is no correct answer.

It all depends on what your goals are, which cards you have currently (and before), etc.

I don't think it's a fair question. If you want, go to the 2/3/4 bm thread and you can ask your specific case and hopefully someone will be nice and answer your question.
