not sure if this has been discussed, but my mother ordered a laptop fom amazon and 2 arrived. the packing slip also only had the 1 laptop.
anyone have this before? does amazon generally realize their error?

Either send it back. Or just wait a while before you sell it etc.

Sorry -, I don't think they'll realize. I'd just hold on to it and wait.

I doubt they will realize the error

Their inventory is Barcode controlled, and the items are usually manually picked off the shelf, interesting that it happened from Amazon.

I'd just hold on to it for a few weeks.

Best buy has had that issue, From the following articles it seems like legally its yours for free they cant charge you for it.

amazon once sent me two gps systems and they email and called till they got the extra one back, i was going to return it when they sent me the label for it but then they drove me nuts to do it right away ......

anyways after i sent not a word of thanks..............

I once got two boxes of diapers, both had the same order number on it and I'm pretty sure also the same UPS taking number. Never heard from them.

It's not possible for 2 packages to have the same tracking number

I don't know whats possible or not but I sent something back to Zappos, a large order that had come in 2 boxes and the return labels had the same tracking number from UPS for each label.

With Fedex if you have 2 lables with the same tracking #, they will revise it with a new label. Has happened to me on outgoing shipments in the past

I think he's talking about shipping 2 packages in one shipment.
