Topic Wiki

Australia: No chicken, dairy, meat, fruit, or vegetables unless it's retorted/shelf stable (Such as La Briute meals) shmebeble had issues with MealMart- 26 meals. Something Fishy was allowed sealed milk and cheese from the U.S.
Belize: Click here
Costa Rica: No raw meat (According to the Health Dept rep at LIR, it's meat on the bone that's an issue, he let us keep all the meat that had no bones - this may be relevant to other countries)

Fiji: Same rules as Australia.
Maldives: No alcohol
Mexico: No beef or cream cheese. Chicken YMMV.
New Caledonia: Same rules as Australia.
New Zealand: Similar to Australia, some small differences but expect thorough checking
Nicaragua (land crossing): No issues with meat etc, but they taxed us for the 40 bottles of wine (I quickly mocked up a receipt on my phone showing the original price per bottle as $4)
Taiwan: no meat at all, even beef jerky or other dried meats. Even frozen airline meals are banned so no POM meals either (source).

btw the us does allow certain fruits and vegtables from certain countries,  for example, tomatoes from israel are allowed as long as they dont have any leaves or stems (thats what i bring in, so i have something to eat instead of the styrofoam that passes for tomatoes in NY)

Philippines: no issues.

Papua New Guinea: got inspected and questioned, let go with everything when I explained that it was a special diet.

Australia: Not a place to play games, follow the rules and declare everything. Upon inspection they actually allowed me to keep sealed milk and cheese once they saw it was from the US.

Vanuatu: no issues.

New Caledonia: got everything taken away. No amount of begging and explaining helped.

Fiji: same. Took everything away.

Any issues bringing along frozen pizza and hot dogs from the US to MXP (Italy)? Can't find a government website detailing it.

Anyone have any recent experience with flying to Israel with raw meat.  Am I going to be pulled aside if I bring it in a Polar bear cooler bag?

Philippines: no issues.

Not quite my experience. Pom meals required an agricultural inspection (wasted a long time). This happened on multiple trips. The fact that they were in an airline safe POM box probably looked odd enough that I was flagged down repeatedly. Another trip I had tens of lb of hotdogs confiscated due to a limit of 5 or so kilos of meat (I was bringing them in for the Jewish kehila there).

you can pretty much just walk into Lesotho at Caledonspoort https://maps.app.goo.gl/bDg7Ho3T5tCKHEDCA
At least one of us entered but never officially exited.
We parked , one of us brought a stack of passports over to the window, he stamped all them then we drove through. One of us didn't have a passport.

You can always check who added something to the wiki if it was within the past 20 edits by clicking edit and checking for the first appearance of the word (in green)
