Is the airline still a safe airline to fly with 2 years later from all the recent posts in this thread which said it's safe?

Safe in terms of what?
From anti semitism, meaning is it safe to travel on?
Would one send their kids on this airline to fly to tlv?

JFK-TLV stopping in Warsaw on LOT.  Have previously always flown direct. Will I need to claim bags or go through passport control?  Anything I should know? Thank you

From Stogal, ex-Europe. Another plus.....

Are they still serving the same bad meals in business class or have they improved?

I just flew with LOT and I don't plan on ever flying with them again.

I paid an extra fee for reserved seating - meaning i was able to reserve the exit seat for my transatlantic flight. When i got to the airport the agent told me they switched equipment to an Air Italy plane, and becuase of that they no longer had the exit seat for me. He put me in a bulkhead seat instead, but that was not what i paid for. During the flight i noticed an exit seat which was empty!

On my return flight, it was even better. I didn't find out about the equipment change until i got on the plane, and the seat i had reserved turned out to be a middle regular seat. When I told the staff, they once again put me in a middle bulkhead seat.

The most LOT would do for me is say they will refund what I paid for those seat reservations. To me this is worth nothing, as i wouldn't have flown LOT if i couldn't have those seats. There were cheaper and similar options available.

{end rant}
i wish i knew what i was doing...

Equipment change is a fact of life. Be happy they said they would refund you for the seat charges. Some airlines don't even do that.

Happens with every airline. I purchased on AA MCE and didn't get it at check-in, was happy I got an automatic refund. On Swiss I had a group of clients that also had their seats messed up and Swiss doesn't want to refund

Side Question, how was the Air Italy aircraft? Be happy you didn't get EuroAtlantic

Has anyone flown LOT recently? How was the experience? Thinking of flying NYC-TLV via Warsaw (with wife and infant). Also; is it possible to do a quick tour of the older Jewish parts and/or cemeteries of Warsaw on a 12-14 hour stopover? Thanks!

LOT Polish Airlines - Seat selection and Kosher meals
« Reply #74 on: May 16, 2022, 03:40:37 PM »
Hi, I booked 5 tickets through the chase UR portal on LOT Polish airlines and I wanted to select seats and reserve kosher meals. When I searched online to do this there seems to only be a paid option and no option to reserve kosher meals.

I tried to call their phone number and I was 87th in line and after almost 2 hours on hold it disconnected. I tried their Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger options and received no response.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

And if I do somehow receive a kosher meal is anyone familiar with what kashrus I can expect? And if it is accepted?

Thanks for all the help!

I was able to use my LOT reservation code on the Lufthansa website (lot and LH are the same company)

From Warsaw, London and Tel Aviv they served "Stogel long life" ie. Bring Your Own Kosher

Their website is not the best, but they did upgrade lately. Seat selection costs money like many airlines nowadays.
Regarding Kosher meals would be helpful if you say from where & to you are flying

Correction, maybe LH doesn't own LOT but their Miles and More is connected.
I've often been able to make LOT changes on LH

However:
Seat selection costs money like many airlines nowadays.
depending on the ticket fare

And eg. WAW-TLV

KSML isn't served in Coach (from what I saw) not that the Stogels in Business was something you'd want to call "a meal"
