My friend has a tmobile bb 9900 on straight talk service and is getting all bbm and email functionality he did not buy this from straight talk.

Yesterday I also went into a Walmart & spoke to the Phone CSR & he said that the T-Mobile or AT&T Blackberry 9900 should work perfectly in all capacities on the Straight Talk network. (This actually did seem to know something about his field).

Please let us know if you do get. That's why I said AFAIK. That would be pretty cool.
Btw the 9930 unlocked will also work since it's a quad Band gsm phone besides for being cdma.

Np. Baruch Hashem. Thanks for all the info. I will let you know what I get & how it works once I get my phone on ebay. They go for $200-$300 new on ebay for the 9900 or the 9930 unlocked.

Np. I will try iy"h. I actually just bought my Straight Talk at&t sim on ebay for $33 & I'm iy"h gonna get my AT&T Blackberry this Friday. Brand New, never opened, turned on etc... for $300. Which I honestly think is not too bad.

I just decided to activate today & it turns out what you said a while ago happened. Even though the guy on ebay was advertising at&t sim for ST it really was for Net10 like you said what was going on out there.
So now I ordered a regular t-mobile sim form ST we shall see how it works.

Also anyone know:
1. Does the samsung Galaxy s4 & the Samsung Note 2 work on ST & Lycamobile?
2. Is there any stores that are for prepaid phones carry sims & refill cards for ST & Lycamobile?

Not sure about number 2 but the phones in 1 should be fine as long as they are unlocked. You will have to enter the apn info for data to work

Many phones can be unlocked yourself by googling the instructions.

only the newest bb 10s can edit apns. Older bbs need the BIS plans to work.

You can get att sims on ebay.
