Interesting, so you are saying Straight Talk will allow a 4G CDMA phone to be physically activated? What needs to be flashed about the device that is so complicated, on the subject?
It will not work unless flashed (doable but a ha$$le)Verizon MVNOs will allow you to activate a 4G phone but the phone needs to activated manually since it defaults to the SIM for activation and data.I am not sure who "they" is. If the company does not offer 4G then you will not be able to program the phone OTA.
straight talk sells the iphone 5 and it uses vzw
Interesting, seems like it uses 2G/3G
I just activated a new account with Straight Talk on a Samsung Galaxy S3 AT&T. I bought the SIM and plan from Walmart.com, and activated it online. Data speed varies by location, but I got 13mbps in BP, and 15mbps in the BMG dining room.
Anyone know if this works well for hot spots (internet) in the Catskills? which towers does this use?
The T-Mobile SIMs use T-Mobile, and the AT&T SIMs use AT&T.
