This was AA PHL-LAX. appetizer was freezing cold. The chicken had a single seal, nothing else did or was even taped at all.
The main, which was swapped out on the same tray was heated, no seal at all, and the plastic was punctured to let steam out.
Seemed sketchy all around.

I can't recall ever seeing a hot KSML meal that's in plastic and not foil. Is that hot meal really a KSML or was there a mix up?
Did you ask the FA if it was double wrapped when she got it?

that was my first thought. but look at the 'appetizer', it was exactly the same, no foil, with a sticker. and although it was served freezing cold it was clearly meant to be heated in the plastic.
It was also very different than the goyishe meals, and not served on china or whatever.
I didn't ask the flight attendant, I was too tired and my brain was in the mush zone, so I took a pic and sent it back and opening an investigation post facto. Will update if anyone actually gets back to me.

Also I confirmed that Zetko and Regal hot meals are both wrapped in foil. Something is very wrong with your picture.

pretty sure it was chicken by the look, if you mean the pic without a sticker. the plastic was sealed down, but the plastic was punctured, presumably by the FA to let steam out. 
She was younger, and may have been new to KSML, DTC. But there were older FA's around, and IIRC the foils have explicit instructions not to unwrap.
Biggest red flag was that the roll didn't say mezonos it was actually just wrapped in saran wrap. and all the 'sides (red stuff, chumus looking stuff and pesach looking cake) were not sealed at all. I assumed there had been a plastic wrap over the whole thing that they removed, which would also be a first, but then the hot meal is still shver.
