KSML (Kosher Airline Meals) Master Thread

I have a December flight JFK-CDG flight and no kosher option either (going or returning)

Thankfully I have a meal for the returning flight. Just the way there not. Kinda ridiculous especially for business class.

Has anyone had trouble getting their kosher meal ordered on Air France. I’m booked in business class from JFK-CDG-TLV and although the second leg has a kosher meal the first leg does not and there is no such option when choosing the menu. Any suggestions?

I flew BOS CDG TLV in Jan 2022 booked via DL.
Couldn't order in the app but was able to order through a DL phone agent for all segments

Interesting. I booked through AF directly.

That's a separate issue -- often times seats/meal requests don't work on codeshares.   I would never trust anyone but the operating airline with my seat request or my meal request

It came... Unwrapped and heated up.... So totally unusable. Although the bread/cake was ok

Is there any point in complaining about that? This is the first time it has happened to me like this

Sure. Ask them to train their staff better and tell them you went hungry.

I had a similar experience up thread. I made sure the caterer, airline and hashgocha knew, it's a post covid issue, the young domestic crews weren't trained on ksml. I think I got some compensation too, but main toeles is that the caterer can insist on better training

Wow! Thank you for reaching out for me, it’s much appreciated.
Still can not understand how a huge international airline can not figure out how to get a kosher meal for a flight out of JFK. No other airline has this issue. Beyond ridiculous.
Thanks again! At least now I’m prepared and will bring my own food!

Terrible meal.

It also doesn't help when everyone else in the cabin is being served a 7 course feast with hot rolls :-)

Yup. I found it in there. The main dish was a piece of turkey breast deli rolled up to look like something substantial.
I will register a complaint with all parties
