Just tried updating my meal on the Air France website. JFK-CDG still no option for kosher. CDG-TLV has kosher.

Still not an option for me on the website, but I called AF and they reserved kosher JFK <> CDG

If you are flying out of a location with kosher establishments do yourself a favor and get a cold cut or schnitzel sandwich or two and maybe a bagel & cream cheese and some muffins to take on the plane and forget the KSML. None of the meals I’ve had, china and silverware and all, even come close to a cold 12 hour old sandwich from Mikes chicken or any other decent place for that matter. And that’s the edible airline versions. I get it if you are flying out of some Asian airport with no kosher options, but why anyone bothers with the KSML stuff when you can bring along a decent sandwich is beyond me.

wise words. so often there are issues with the kosher meals:
a) the taste ("i paid $5,000 for this flight and this is what i get?!")
b) the lack of ("woops, maybe you want some fruit?")
c) the hechsher ("under the strict supervision of the beis did of yehupitsville")
d) the rip ("it opened a bit mister" or "i opened it for you")
e) the confusion ("its good they wrote what's contained in here or else i wouldn't know if its milchig or fleishig, or what it is at all")
f) the timing ("is it 6 hours yet?" or "do we need to daven before we eat?" or "do i want to be fleishigs for the next 6 hours?")

so just listen to @jye an bring your own food. Guarantee that you'll have tasty food with a hechsher you eat, not needing to warm it up, know what your eating, and to eat whenever you choose. You can always eat the plane food if you choose, but having Pas B'Saaloh is well worth it.
