Does the First lounge and/or the Private room in the KriSilver lounge offer KSMLs like The Wing does in HKG?
The private room in SIN does. I called SQ and they were able to put in the request and confirm it for me. IIRC, they took my request and called me back a few days later to confirm it

Story is impossible to be ture, UA can't be so nice willingly hold up a flight ( actually maybe this part yes) but FAs being nice? Impossible...

I was on AA F, and when I asked for them to heat up my BYOK, they said that actually they were waiting for our our KSML entrees to arrive, and they would happily trade heating up our food for having to wait for the Kosher Catering to arrive.

The trays and the cutlery was there, just no hot entree.

Needless to say that worked out perfectly for us.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

I've heard stories, many times, of FAs offering for the flight to be held for a dietary meal. It helps when you're DL Diamond or UA GS flying first class international.
One specific person I know was offered points instead of a meal and he gladly accepted.

-----------------
I booked this route, too, and I was interested in the KSML and even more interested in the "Departure Lounge", about which the website makes a whole megillah.  So, I contacted their pre-flight folks by email:

Dear Mr. Zow,

Thank you for contacting Aer Lingus North America Pre-Flight Care.

The Pre-Flight dining is currently not available at the lounge in Boston.  The vendor that we use is Bernstein Caterer.

Kind Regards,

Patti
--------------------------

I had never heard of Bernstein Caterer, but when  I googled, I figured they must mean Borenstein.
What should we do about the lack of departure meal at Boston?  Any compensation? It would be great if they could get Andrews or Milk Street for us....

Sad, sad, very sad.  Are they required to offer you a Pre-Departure meal? Compare this to Hyatt Diamond, are they required to buy you a kosher meal?

Dan - I'm surprised at you. You are dead wrong, as there most certainly is BusinessFirst on UA from NYC (EWR) to YVR. Aside from the fact that I flew it, you can check it right now.

And as for KSMLs, well...   I'm afraid you're wrong about that as well. Again, aside from the fact that the story really did happen (contrary to popular belief over here), there was another frum couple flying BusinessFirst as well and they DID get their KSML.
Btw, this happened in July 2013

Wrong and wrong again, see screenshot.
There was never BusinessFirst EWR-YVR.  Business is an entirely different product than BusinessFirst.
Though there may have been KSMLs 2 years ago.  I don't recall exactly when they got rid of those.

Kalman, if you can explain to us how your "businessFirst" looked like we can all know if we're talking about the same thing.

It seems to be impossible to get ANY kosher meal from EWR. I'm flying in First to LAX, and they didn't have the option.

If you don't cross an ocean you're not getting a KSML on UA from EWR.

Too bad it's not like the good ole days, when they served meals even in economy to Florida. I'm wondering if there are any special buttons to press which would yield me one. Fortunately, they do have Freshko sandwiches in the terminal.
