If you don't cross an ocean you're not getting a KSML on UA from EWR.
And BTW you don't get lounge access when flying P.S. J out of EWR. Don't ask me why.

Because there is no PS service or J class from EWR-LAX/SFO.

DL serves KSMLs on all flights with meals.
Given the direction in which UA is headed, I may very well switch to them. Their credit cards are not strong enough, though. Gotta love the club card on UA.

Hmmmm, what do you define as PS service?

I don't define it, they do.

The thing is that you could get a BF seat sometimes out of EWR, but it's there "by mistake" not guaranteed. PS flights are guaranteed 757 lie flat BF seats.

Even if you get the seat, it's still not BF service. You get domestic service out of EWR with no KSMLs.

Sad, sad, very sad.  Are they required to offer you a Pre-Departure meal? Compare this to Hyatt Diamond, are they required to buy you a kosher meal?
The point is not that they are required to provide the pre-departure meals. Rather, the point is that their marketing materials falsely advertise that they are available when, in fact, they are not.

Their marketing materials promise a KSML as a pre-departure benefit?

No, I didn't say KSML. I said they promise a pre-departure meal. See the link:
http://www.aerlingus.com/new-business-class/indexna.html

(Scroll down to the bottom, where they say:
"Pre-Dine Service

On flights departing from New York JFK and Boston, we are pleased to announce the option to dine before you fly. Eat your fill before you fly, and then all you have to do is to sleep the night away in your comfy bed. You will arrive relaxed and ready to go with a full nights sleep.")

My e-mail exchange with them, posted above a few days ago, indicated that they do not have pre-departure meals at all, KSML or otherwise.  Doesn't that seem like false advertising?

CX. But I believe AA can also put in the request for you.

You flying From or two HKG?

Also call the CX lounge in HKG to get kosher food in the lounge.

Thanks. I'm flying JFK-YVR no HKG for me, not yet, hopefully I'll work my way there one day.

Best to do it through CX. IIRC I did it online with the CX locator number. Btw, the food ex JFK is regular Regal economy food, so nothing to look out for. xYVR you get a local caterer, which looks EXTREMELY unappetizing, I think it's because the way they package it...I didn't even touch it.

To sum it up: BYOKF.

How do I get my CX locator #? All I have my AA locator #.

I'm only flying OW so the xYVR meal isnt a concern for me.
I've seen mixed reviews about the meal xJFK, but to be honest I don't know the last time I took a flight with a meal, so I don't know what I'd compare it to.

I know I read your wife's TR but IIRC I've also seen people strongly disagree with you. (About the food, not what you thought of it)
