Just confired with 2 caterers who bid to cater LY KSML out of BOS. The budget they were given to work with was $2.50. somehow they were expected to create proper meals and take home a profit on that budget.

I'm skeptical this is true considering elal owns a catering company in NY.

you can be sceptical..fact is I saw it in writing.
ETA: not sure what NY has to do with it because they do the BOS KSML locally (at least the assembly)

Just flew LAX - SAL on Avianca where they had a somewhat decent breakfast (partially frozen) from a Emuna out of LA.

On the Copa portion of my trip (SAL-PTY), they served a stogel chichen snack at 7 AM. The food looked just like cat food, it was awful.

This looks like a Stogel fresh meal rather than their meals with a 5 year shelf life.
How does it taste? How would you compare it to Borensteins?
