The Main was edible some sort of chicken dish.... I don't like tuna so I didn't try the tuna but it looked palatable... Fruit was good as was the garden salad. Again not sure if it was a business class meal or not.

Definitely what the OU wants you to think. Kashrus marketing.

Indeed. Though they do have some very good things about them, and are quite transparent, which is a huge plus.

Would reading the letter below (which AFAIK has not been rectified) still make one think that OU is "the best kashrus around"?

I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I was teasing. I actually have TLV-MAD-BOS booked in J for two days after Pesach. A little worried we will get stuck with a KLP KSML that’s not even really kosher!

How long was your layover? I have a 6 hour layover with IB coming up, was wondering if enough time to leave airport and do something (jewish) or just stick around in the lounge.

I had a long layover (don't recall the exact length, but over 6 hours), but since I flew with the flu () I just slept and showered in the lounge.
But I have a friend with a 5 hour stop this week and would like to go around there, not sure if Jewish stuff is on his agenda tho....

I was on Aeroflot TLV-SVO (Y), and the kosher meal was unwrapped before being heated. The service was very nice, so it's probably because they were not trained.

If that's Hebrew on that, Israel writes dd/mm/yyyy

More likely it's the manufacturing date dd/mm/yy.

Here's my experience with that caterer.
Airline: LH
Class: J (European)
Route: TLV-FRA
Caterer: Hamasbia
Flight date: 01/06/19
Meal in pic: Dinner

All looked very unappetizing, tried just the chicken and rice and it was actually surprisingly good, but that may be because I was starving
