C'mon.. Don't compare..

Compare the pictures you post of your scrumptious KSML and the pictures Lucky is posting of his meals.

Lucky is posting pics of foreign carriers who have onboard chefs. Can't compare UA F meal to TG, LH, etc.

Correct. Ask MosheP ..foreign carriers should have onboard Kosher chefs as well  ;)

But even on the domestic carriers the non Kosher meals are waayyyy better. I believe Lucky has pictures of domestic carriers as well.. Compare them to Dan's pictures..

Of course the non-kosher is better.  Just like a non-kosher restaurant is going to be better and cheaper than it's kosher equivalent.
This is the price we pay for being frum.  I don't expect an airline to cater to my personal religious observances any more than I expect any other non-religious institution to.

Also I'm not the only one suggesting to bring restaurant food...http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-airlines-mileageplus/1561420-feedback-current-ua-menus-2014-a-5.html#post22548718

If by equivalent you meant price then what Does this mean?

It costs 2x-3x the price to get the same quality.
At the same price level it's not comparable.

They pay less for KSML in J/F, it should'n be like this, period. they should at least be willing to pay for Stogel as much as they pay for the non KSML.

Non-KSML is mostly a fixed cost business, airlines like UA own their own catering service.
KSML is variable cost, hence why it's sent out to the lowest bidder.

First of all the non-kosher special meals are also variable cost and even I never had it I have been told that they don't serve it old and half frozen.

And I don't think these meals if accounted for as fixed costs confirms with GAAP 8) Moshe, I thing it's time to report that to the SEC ;)
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?

Why is non-KSML a fixed cost and KSML a variable cost?

It's like the difference between making your own food and eating out at a restaurant

Kosher food on AA
« Reply #256 on: May 13, 2014, 05:37:43 PM »
I’m flying AA from Montreal to CA with a Dallas stopover business and first class. I get meals but they say no kosher meals are offered for such flights. Only on long international flights. Is there a way to get kosher meals? Speak to a supervisor? Thanks.
